Each year the Governor’s Industrial Safety & Health Advisory Board (GISHAB) recognizes workers in Washington who saved a life while on the job. The nomination period has been extended to July 31, 2020 for lifesaving actions that occurred between June 1, 2019 and May 31, 2020.
If you know a workplace hero who went above and beyond in reacting to an emergency and performed “hands-on” aid in saving a life, we want to know about it! See the Lifesaving Award Guidelines for more details.
Nominations will be reviewed by members of GISHAB in August and award recipients will be notified of their recognition in late August. We plan to honor recipients during during our virtual 69th Annual Governor’s Safety & Health Conference September 21-25, 2020.
