Each year the Governor’s Industrial Safety & Health Advisory Board (GISHAB) recognizes workers in Washington who saved a life while on the job. The nomination period is now open through June 30, 2023 for lifesaving actions that occurred between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023. See the Lifesaving Award Guidelines for more details.
Members of GISHAB will review nominations in August. Selected recipients will be notified of their recognition in late August. Selected award recipients will be recognized during the 72nd Annual Governor’s Safety & Health Conference, September 27, 2023 at the Spokane Convention Center.
