Share Your Health and Safety Expertise
We’re looking for experienced speakers, safety trainers, and educators to speak at our various conferences.
Our main event is the Governor’s Industrial Safety and Health Conference (GISHC), also known as the Governor’s Safety Conference, held in September each year. Our outreach has grown beyond this annual conference to include Agriculture, Construction, and Maritime Safety Day events throughout the year.
Applications for these events are being accepted for our 2026 events:
- Agriculture Safety Day – Feb. 25, 2026 in Wenatchee, WA
- Maritime Safety Day – April 1, 2026 in Puyallup, WA
- Construction Safety Day – April 2, 2026 in Puyallup, WA
- Governor’s Industrial Safety and Health Conference – Sept. 30-Oct. 1, 2026 in Tacoma, WA
For Agriculture Safety Day, all our presentations are offered in English and Spanish. Presentations should be one hour (including Q&A) and must be available in both English and Spanish.
We’re not looking for a marketing pitch. Speakers should share their knowledge and best practices for keeping workers safe and healthy on the job.
Review Process:
All submissions are carefully reviewed by conference staff and planning committees, to ensure alignment with the event’s goals and audience interests. Reviewers also consider the speaker’s expertise, the practicality of the proposed session, and its potential to engage attendees.
Please provide three measurable learning objectives as required for continuing education units (CEUs)
Proposals that meet these criteria are shortlisted for further consideration, and only those applicants will be contacted.
