Each year the Governor’s Industrial Safety & Health Advisory Board (GISHAB) recognizes workers in Washington who saved a life while on the job. Nominations are now being accepted through June 30, 2019 for lifesaving actions that occurred between June 1, 2018 and May 31, 2019.
If you know a workplace hero who went above and beyond in reacting to an emergency and performed “hands-on” aid in saving a life, we want to know about it! See the Lifesaving Award Guidelines for more details.
Nominations will be reviewed by members of GISHAB in July and award recipients are notified of their recognition in August. Awards will be presented during the 68th Annual Governor’s Safety & Health Conference in Tacoma September 25 & 26, 2019.
